My name is Siobhan Owens and I specialising in Dog Behavioural Problems, Dog Obedience and Dog Agility Training.

I can visit your home or you can come out to me and I can help you train your dog.

I am now based in Athboy. An appointment is required to visit my Private Training Facility.

Zoom calls are also available were appropriate.

I work in the areas of Meath, Westmeath, Dublin, Kildare and Cavan.

About Me

I started working as a volunteer at the Dogs Aid Animal Clinic in Ballymun, Dublin in 1989.

I completed a Pet Psychology course, Holistic Animal Healing course and the Canine First Responder course and set up a Dog Training company called ‘Dublin Pet School’.

I graduated from Middlesex University on the 19 July 2012 with a Masters in Professional practice in Canine Behaviour.

I have trained and competed with my own dogs in both Obedience and Agility.

I am also a Judge with the Irish Kennel Club.

I have fostered for Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary, North Dublin Cat Rescue, My Lovely Horse Rescue and The Hairy Project and I assisted in the Ballymun Veterinary Clinic for over 30 years.

I now live in Athboy and have set up my own Private Training Facility named Meath Pet School.

Our Services

1-2-1 Private in Home Training

For all problems, all breeds and all ages. Including separation anxiety, reactivity to people and dogs, lead skills, recall and trick training.

Puppy Package

Help & advice, everything you need to know before and after collecting you puppy. We discuss toilet training, nipping, diet and how to use food for a win win situation. What is socialising, teaching basic skills and trick training to start your lead and recall behaviour for long lasting results.

Dog Obedience & Agility Classes

Using skills and knowledge built over the last 10 years competing in Obedience and Agility I will be offering small class lessons. I am currently on the Irish Kennel Club Obedince & Agility register and the IADSA panel for judging.

We have a full set of modern Dog Agility Equipment at our Athboy Training Facility

1-2-1 Private Training in Athboy

We can help with reactivity using several of our own dogs, we have lots of space to work with you and your dog in a safe and secure natural setting.

I recently sent my one-year-old Corgi Bobo to Siobhan's Pet School for a 12-day board and train program, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

From the beginning, Siobhán made me feel completely at ease. I had been feeling anxious and a bit embarrassed about not having done much training with my puppy, but she was incredibly understanding and welcoming, with absolutely no judgement.

Throughout the stay, I received multiple videos and regular updates each day, which really reassured me and allowed me to see the progress being made. Siobhán was always quick to answer any questions I had and offered helpful advice on equipment and training.

I felt completely confident leaving my dog in her care, knowing she was safe and being treated like one of the family in a home environment.

After the 12 days, my dog came home with a fantastic foundation in training. Even better, I was provided with plenty of videos and guidance so I can continue the training at home myself.

I’ve already arranged for her to return, as the positive change in her behaviour and attitude is clear. This has been such a beneficial experience for both of us.
